What is Botox?

Botulinum toxin derived from Clostridium botulinum bacteria.

The cosmetic application of Botox began in 1990, targeting facial wrinkles resulting from muscle contractions. What can you expect at the time of your procedure?

During the procedure, Botulinum toxin is skillfully injected directly into the muscles responsible for wrinkles, utilizing a very fine needle. The number of injections varies based on the specific treatment area (refer to diagram 1). For addressing excessive sweating in the armpits, Botox is precisely injected into the axillary skin. While localized discomfort and potential bruising may occur, the procedure typically requires no sedation or local anesthesia. You can resume normal activities immediately following the treatment. 💉
